Odin EstyParticipant
-I gained a clearer sense of how helpful it can be to make a phrase, word, or just even sound really embodied in order to understand it. Making a gentle story up around something puzzling.
-The whole session reminded me of the peaceful state of thinking I had a good deal of experience with in the early grades in Waldorf classrooms, where the teachers made their speech and habits of inflection a consciously suited to the states of being of children as they could. I kept thinking of my reading-aloud and how what I was doing in both cases was the same.
-I am curious to see/experience how speech can change a life with being more aware.
Odin EstyParticipantCross bridges when you come to them, not before!
Odin EstyParticipant-What would life be like/ how differently might I live if I fully healed my knee?
-Constructive and inspirational imaginations of more beautiful ways of life ensue.
-What if I really got into my writing and composition practice?
-Another strong creative channel? I will take it.
-What if I brought full conclusion to all my old projects?
-I would be all open to new and more relevant ones, and I would have the feeling of having Finished the Old. And probably more besides.
-Will I or won’t I buy that 3-d printer?
Cross that bridge when you come to it.

“Phantom” by Of Monsters And Men, one of my favorite bands. I find the aesthetic they use for this song- especially in the visual sense- very inspiring. The lyrics are quite something, too.
Odin EstyParticipantOdin EstyParticipantAs all of you know, I have been working with the ideas we are going through partly with a Main Lesson Book. These are some pages from it (though I am not at all sure this will work):

<span style=”color: #222222; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;”>I like doing skulls, as they are a good way to learn how the human face is really shaped, and I intend to turn this one into a proper portrait by adding muscle and skin and stuff once it is fired. After that I will put it in the garden and wait for the secondary layers to wash away in the rain before making it into a portrait again. The whole death-into-life-and-back-again theme is fun to work with.</span>What projects have all of you been working on?
Odin EstyParticipantHere is my latest magnum opus: Skull 2. I did this one with the intention of adding on musculature and skin and stuff later to make it into a portrait, which I am excited to do. I have to let it dry first, of course.
They say life comes from death, so why not imitate the process in clay?
Odin EstyParticipantI just got a new rendition/translation of the Parzival story and am really liking it. It is by Seamus Maynard, published last year. I highly recommend it!
Odin EstyParticipantHere is a veil painting I did in my weekend arts program:
This may be Chateau Gauchemain, home of Seignieur Jonsquin de Gauchemain (known in England as Sir Parts-of-All).
Odin EstyParticipantIf I sincerely try to bring all my old projects to a close, neatening up my creative areas in the process…
-I might lose any semblance of order (which is highly, highly unlikely).
-The process might be very messy (inevitable) and slow (possible).
-A bad outcome would be that I do not succeed, putting my affairs in a real mess (unlikely).
Then again…
-I might sharpen my work ethic, getting better at managing time and cultivating inspiration, and end up with a clean project-slate.
-The process could be perfectly messy and create an optimal Space for a greater Order to arise out of.
-A good outcome would be that I could make all the above part of my regular creative process (and more…?).
